Kate + Steve's Asbury Park Wedding

It's been so refreshing to feel as if we are finally coming out on the other side of the pandemic. We're thrilled that our couples are able to at last, celebrate in all of the ways they've wanted to - and in some cases spent years planning for! Last week marked the official lift of the ban on wedding reception dance floors (yay for no longer feeling like a scene from Footloose!) We couldn't think of a more appropriate place to dance the night away in celebration, then down at the Jersey Shore.

We were blessed with a gorgeous and sunny day in Asbury Park, NJ to capture the long awaited wedding of Kate and Steve. Life threw a few twists and turns at them delaying their nuptials more than once, but as the day turned out perfectly, it was clear to us all that it was well worth the wait!

We began with our beautiful bride Kate as she and her girls got ready at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel in Asbury Park, just steps away from the famed boardwalk. Their room was bustling with lots of excitement (and champagne) when we arrived, and Kate looked absolutely stunning.

After a lively and fun round of bridesmaid and groomsmen portraits on the boards, we set the stage for the bride and groom's first look against the colorful and iconic Asbury Park boardwalk painted murals. It was a perfect moment, as the two laid eyes on each other for the first time that day, clearly overcome with many emotions, and truly happy to be together at last. Kate and Steve are so adorable together, and made our job easy - these two can both smolder like models!

Not long after, we were joined by Kate and Steve's adorable son Charlie, who looked handsome as ever in his little suit jacket and vest! Charlie was a great sport and gave us some super cute smiles for family portraits. To finish up we gathered the whole gang together and got our bridal party photos on the boardwalk with the stunning architecture of the historic Asbury Park Convention Hall setting the scene.

The wedding ceremony and reception were held at Mister C's Beach Bistro in Allenhurst, a great little venue right off the beach with plenty of ocean views. Kate and Steve declared their love for each other and said their "I do's" on the rooftop, in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their loved ones and under the setting May sun, with a fresh and salty sea-breeze in the air.

At last it was time for the part of the day that Kate and Steve had been waiting for with the most excitement - the time to dance and party the night away in celebration with all of their favorite people. And party they did! The energy and love there was electric. It was abundantly clear that Kate and Steve share a truly special bond with all of their closest friends and family. We know their night must have ended up great, because after a final fun group shot on the dance floor, next thing we notice, Steve was in the air, being lifted up by his buddies!
