Jenna and I are thrilled to be heading into springtime and warmer weather! To kick things off this season we headed down to Monmouth County, where we had a truly lovely engagement session with Kate, Steve and their baby Charlie at Deep Cut Gardens in Middletown, New Jersey.
Kate and Steve make a great pair, they are incredibly sweet and easygoing - and naturally, so is their 8 month old baby boy Charlie! He certainly stole the show with his big smile and dreamy blue eyes. He was so curious throughout our session about everything around us, and was so eager to walk around (with Mom and Dad's help of course!) and explore the sights and sounds that Deep Cut Gardens has to offer.
We began our session inside of the greenhouse, which was filled with colorful flowers, lots of greenery, succulents, and even a room full of unique and fun cacti! The love between Steve and Kate and the love they share for their little guy was so easily felt! It seemed effortless to capture so many sweet moments between the three of them.
As we moved outside to explore the grounds, we found the perfect little spot with a water feature and some large rocks, nestled within whimsical trees that appeared to be plucked straight out of the pages of a storybook fairytale. Little Charlie was so entertained by the babbling water there - he couldn't take his eyes off of it!
Our session came to an end, but luckily we will get to see Kate, Steve and Charlie again very soon next month when we capture Kate and Steve's beachy wedding at Mister C's Beach Bistro in Allenhurst, NJ. We can't wait for some saltwater, sand, sun and portraits in Asbury Park!
