Stef and Sal are quite honestly a VERY cool couple. We seemed to hit it off with them from the start, when we had our first phone call and bonded over our love of dogs (they have 4!!) and the great outdoors (they got engaged while fly fishing in a river!!). We lucked out with one of the last beautiful and warm sunny days of November to take their engagement photos. Stef thought it would be a great idea to head to their wedding venue, Waterloo Village for the shoot.
Waterloo Village is a restored 19th-century canal town in Byram Township, Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey, and boy does it have character! It is a truly stunning spot in autumn, drenched in dreamy warm light and flooded with pops of color. There are loads of paths too adventure on, historic and charming buildings and of course, a canal running through it. The chemistry and passionate love between Stef and Sal is just so perfect. They made our job of capturing moments so easy, as they looked so comfortable and at home in each other's arms. We had tons of fun exploring different locations throughout the property together and even stopped and set up a blanket for some fun "champagne popping" shots.
We ended the session with a quick outfit change for Stef, and a cameo appearance from Sal's super awesome motorcycle. Jenna and I were pumped to get to take photos of them posing on and around the bike. It really complimented them so well as a couple, and showed off their fun, adventurous and edgy side. We had such a fantastic time with Stef and Sal, they kept our day full of laughs and warmth - they are just such a good time to be around. We can't wait to head back to Waterloo next fall to capture their big day!
